On of the lucky few - Witchmount Shiraz 2004 Customer Review!

Hi Danae!

Thanks so much for the Witchmount.  I did try a bottle last night ;-) … within 5 mins of setting foot inside the door at home lol

It needs to sit for about 10 to 15 mins to let it open up but once it has, the bouquet is fantastic.  I could sit there and doing nothing but take it in and be quite happy.

The flavour I would describe as full with a medium body.  Its kind of like… you smell it and think…oh wow, the fruit is there, the pepper!…. then you taste….. and it ALMOST gets there, but doesn’t quite follow through with the pepper and lingering body … hard to describe.  Doesn’t grab me like a $90 bottle of Jasper Hill or Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier would.

But for $20-$30 a bottle it tastes and smells more like a $60-$80 a bottle would.

How is that for my review?? Haha I have bought a half a bottle in for the office to try, after work hours of course ;-)
